At
GGA, our goal is to give every child the opportunity to experience
what all children
are entitled to:
an
active life that is filled with excitement, self-confidence, discovery,
learning and fun. GGA instructors are trained and encouraged to
build a personal relationship with each student that is nurturing
and safe. Our Special Needs program was developed specifically to
support instructors' ability to give individual attention to detail
that enables each child to excel far beyond normal limits and reach
new potentials. We make classes FUN & ENERGETIC.
We
promote and support the inclusion of children with disabilities
into all phases of their lives: their family, school, and the community
- with recreational activities as a key foundation. To achieve this,
our program teaches skills that enhance the student's self-competence
and self-esteem. Through repetitive accomplishment and encouragement,
students see themselves as do-ers.
GGA's
Special Needs children are able to demonstrate they can maintain
the strength and endurance demands of peer play when at play with
typical children. Our students train among and interact with children
of differing abilities. With GGA's Special Needs program, we find
that our children are better able to maintain appropriate social
behavior, with the outcome that they and their families feel valued
and welcome. As a result, our children and their families are more
open to exploring their community and feel included in everyday
aspects of life.
Our
gymnastics-structured approach provides a wide variety of physical

are held in small group settings for children ages 3 and up. Individual

at the time of registration and be placed in the most appropriate
class setting. We offer recreational and competitive gymnastics
programs for special needs children and youth. Our programs are
for individuals of all ages who would like to: have fun and develop
gymnastics skills; enjoy the opportunity to be part of a team; and
compete at various Special Olympics competitions.
