Tao Hsieh Wu Shu, "The Way of Unified Martial Arts," is founded on the principle that there is no one perfect martial art. Soke Joel Geniesse, who has 26 years of experience in the martial arts, developed the system. Techniques include:

• Tae Kwon Do (kicking)
• Wing Chun (blocking and striking)
• Shoalin Wu Shu (stance training)
• Jujitsu (grappling)
• Judo (throws)
• Muay Thai (conditioning)
• Capoeira (acrobatics)
• Nin-Po (defense)
• the use of Pressure Point

The strength of each style is added to the others to create an individual style. The emphasis is placed on the ability of the martial artist to defend him/herself and protect those around them while causing minimal damage.

Tao Hsieh Wu Shu is one of a growing list of Christian based martial art systems, and focuses equally on the defense portion of martial arts as it does the artistic side.

This is not to say that a student must be a Christian to study, no more than they are required to be Buddhist to study most local systems. Rather, it is the goal of the instructors to help students to grow both internally as well as externally.
